Clinton L. Williams

Clinton L. Williams, 91, of Bucyrus, died Friday, October 07, 2011 at Carlisle House where he was a temporary resident following a sudden decline in health.

He was born October 20, 1919 in Buffalo, NY to the late William M. and Mable M. (Allhoust) Williams. Clinton's family moved to the area in 1939 where he attended Marion Sr. High School. In 1944 he married Elnora Watts who survives. Their two souls complimented and completed each other.

Clinton retired from General Electric as a Chief Process Operator where he was employed for 30 plus years. He also painted houses for individuals when called upon. Clinton was known by his family as a sweet, quiet and well-mannered man, but he was quick witted with his humorous remarks and never failed to make people unexpectedly laugh. He enjoyed reading; many of his books pertained to airplanes and Egyptian customs but his greatest joys came from his collie dogs, which he trained and showed for some years and time spent with his only daughter, Dianne Studer who preceded him in death in 1991. Clinton new the importance of arithmetic and spent much time teaching his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Elnora (June Frances Watts Williams), Clinton is survived by a son-in-law and his wife, Urban and Gale Studer of Bucyrus; two grandchildren, Jay (Jenny) Studer of Dayton and Holly Studer of Bucyrus; two great grandchildren, Blake Studer of Dayton and Chandler Studer of Bucyrus. He is preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Williams.

Friends may call from Noon-1:00 p.m. Monday, October 10 at Wise Funeral Service, where funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday with Rev. Stanley Walters officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens in Marion, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society serving Crawford County through the funeral home.
