Chelsie Marie Painter, 36, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024 at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by family & friends after battling a brief terminal illness.
She was born on March 17, 1988 in Marion, Ohio to Diane (Hill) Agin and Thomas E. Painter. Chelsie grew up in North Robinson, Ohio and as a young girl she developed a love for gymnastics, music, animals, & creatures of all sorts. She played the keyboard and loved to sing and dance when the moment struck. She attended Colonel Crawford schools where she graduated in 2006. While attending CCHS, she was involved with the school newspaper and cheerleading where her gym-length tumbles rallied crowds.
Chelsie was employed at Waycraft Industries as an Administrative Assistant for 8 years where she developed a strong love for her coworkers and the individuals that she worked with. She was artistic, crafty, and intelligent. She could get filthy in a Tough Mudder race and then turn around and get her hair and nails done for a fancy event. She loved her family, her friends, but most importantly, her beautiful daughter, Ava. In recent years, Chelsie developed a love for baking. She created many beautiful cakes for family and friends’ special events and she dreamed of having her own bakery one day.
Anybody who knew Chelsie knew she loved being a mom most of all. She shared her passion and love for animals with Ava. Together, they enjoyed taking donations to the Humane Society and playing with the animals. They even rescued their cat, Simba, while taking trips to Petland and often treated their dog, Koda, to a pup cup and some fun at the dog park.
Along with her love of being a mother, she also took pride in being a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a strong faith in the Lord and often leaned on Him in times of uncertainty.
Chelsie is survived by her loving daughter, AvaLynn; parents, Diana and John Agin Jr.; sisters, Ashley Agin, Shayla Agin, and Brittany Agin; Ava’s father, Jake Diosi; maternal grandmother, Ruby Hill; paternal grandparents, John Sr. and Sharon Agin; aunts and uncles, including Uncle Bob, Uncle Brian and Aunt Lynette, and Uncle Rich with whom she shared a special bond. She was known as “CiCi” by her nephews, Kaysen and Braxton, and was blessed with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will cherish her memory for eternity.
She was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Tara Painter; her maternal grandfather, Walter “Bud” Hill Sr.; paternal grandmother, Janet Stover; and her cousin, Tyler Painter.
All services will be held at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 2nd from 4-7pm. The funeral will begin on Thursday, October 3rd at 11:00am with Pastor Joe Beran officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society Serving Crawford County or to Wise Funeral Service to assist with expenses. Memories and photos can be shared on the guestbook.
