Charles Richard 'Rick' Luke II, 68 of Bucyrus, died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Galion Community Hospital.He was born December 6, 1942 in Bucyrus and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1961. On March 2, 1968 he married Cheryl Burgin who survives. Rick worked at Timken for 36 years before retirement. In addition to his wife of 43 years, Rick is survived by two daughters, Melissa Greenich and husband David II of Bucyrus and Jodi Hahn and husband Garry of Independence, Iowa; four grandchildren, Hannah Greenich, Elizabeth Greenich, Derek Hahn and Kristen Hahn. Rick is preceded in death by his father, Charles Richard Luke and his mother, Lulu C. (Ulmer) Luke Wheeler.Rick was a member of St. Paul'™s Lutheran Church in Bucyrus. He was a man with a strong work ethic and was very proud of his daughters and grandchildren. He and Cheryl loved attending their athletic events; socializing with friends and bicycle riding when they had a chance. Rick loved OSU athletics and knew pretty much knew every player statistic possible. He enjoyed yard work, car shows and just saw the value in doing things the right way.Friends may call from 1 '“ 3 and 5 '“ 7 PM Sunday, April 17 at Wise Funeral Service, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday with Pastor Don Neumann officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Contributions may be given to St. Paul'™s Lutheran Church Endowment Fund; Gideon International or to a charity of the donor'™s choice through the funeral home.
