Charles F. "Chuck" Graham

Charles F. "Chuck" Graham, 81, of Bucyrus died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Bucyrus Community Hospital following a brief bout with cancer.

He was born May 17, 1931 in Bucyrus to the late David and LuEtter (Holland) Graham. Chuck was a 1949 graduate of Holmes-Liberty and retired from The Timken Co. after 35 years of service.

Chuck met the former Joyce Briegel at J's Drink Shop in Chatfield. They were married June 30, 1979. Joyce survives along with his son, Joseph Graham of Bucyrus; stepchildren, Todd Wiparina of Tiro and Shawn (Angie) Wiparina of Bucyrus; his "little angels," granddaughters, Jennifer (Justin) Stephens of Marion, Amanda Wiparina of Bucyrus, Mollie Legg, Taylor (Brandon) Coll and Abby Wiparina, all of Tiro, and great granddaughter, Lyberti Hope Stephens; brothers, David (Kay) and Wilber (Carol) Graham, both of Bucyrus; and his sister, Ruth Miller of Cocoa, Fla.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his stillborn brother, David, and sister, Gertrude Bechtel.

Chuck will be remembered as a fantastic guy who was loved by all. He was an active member of Bucyrus Moose Lodge #669 where he was in the bowling and golf leagues, 25 Club, Entertainment Chair and Past Treasurer. He also loved animals, especially caring for those who were mistreated. Chuck was an avid sports fan, especially Ohio State athletics and Bucyrus Little League Baseball. He managed the Kiwanis team and the Bucyrus All-Stars for a number of years, including the first area team to reach the state finals. Chuck also loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas and the Tennessee Smokey Mountains in the fall along with "Swartz Brothers" fishing trips to Canada dating back to 1978. Upon his return from trips, he was the first to report, "a good time was had by all."

At Chuck's request, he will be cremated with no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) through Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus who assisted the Graham family with arrangements.
