Carson A. Walters

Carson Allyn Walters, 24, formerly of Ontario, and currently of Delaware, Ohio, passed on January 26, 2025. Though his death was unexpected he had been dealing with complications related to Type 1 Diabetes.

Carson was born October 19, 2000 in Troy, Michigan to Sean and Vicki (Erwin) Walters and through their eyes, was the only great thing to come out of that state. His family moved to Ontario in 2007, and Carson graduated from Ontario High School in 2019. While at Ontario, he played trombone in the marching band, was a member of both cross country and track and got “roped” into playing the character of Gaston during the school’s production of Beauty and the Beast. Though he never made it big on Broadway, this role did open his eyes to theatre, and he participated in a couple different shows. He was currently employed at North Central Correctional Complex in Marion, working as a Corrections officer.

Carson spent many years as a member of Crossroads Church in Ontario and had been active with the youth group. He enjoyed a couple mission trips to Louisville, Kentucky and was humbled to have lent a hand with fellow youth on a trip to Guatemala. This involvement could possibly be where his kindness for others arose, as he will certainly be remembered as a kind person.

From an early age, Carson loved robots and crabs. He also loved building Legos and in more recent years was still creating unique creations which left many in awe of his talents. There were many nights spent gaming with his brothers as well as friends and some of their favorites were Skyrim, Halo and Fallout. Dungeons and Dragons, or D&D, as known by fellow players, was another favorite and he enjoyed the role of Dungeon Master or DM. He and friends also enjoyed dressing in their favorite medieval outfits as preparation for the annual Ohio Renaissance Festival. An event they very much enjoyed. His other favorite pastime was reading, and he was also always up for a flavored coffee.

Carson will be missed by his parents, Sean and Vicki Walters; brothers, Kyle, Colin, Carter and Korey; paternal grandmother, Susan Walters; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Mary Lou Erwin; aunts, Lyn and Greg Schoenman and Angie and David Wise as well as other extended family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4 – 7 pm Monday, February 3 at Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus, where his memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday with Pastor Jesse Rider officiating.

Carson loved the color orange, so it would be very fitting as to don any outfits containing that color when attending services.

If desired, donations can be made payable to the American Diabetes Association and these gifts will be accepted through the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy, photos or memories are encouraged to be shared with his family by visiting his guestbook page at www.wisefuneral.com.
