Carolyn A. Spears

Carolyn A. Spears, 56, of Bucyrus died suddenly yet unexpectedly at her residence Saturday, July 14, 2012.

She was born May 4, 1956 in Bucyrus to the late Carl and Mary (Schifer) Bunn and graduated from Col. Crawford in 1974. Following graduation Carolyn worked at North Electric and was introduced to a young gentleman named, Greg A. Spears. The two enjoyed each others company but Greg had to move to California for work so he convinced her to follow him out and on October 7, 1980 they were married. They lived there until returning to Bucyrus in 1985 and she worked as a homemaker and most recently at BPT in Bucyrus.

Carolyn was a very simple person who loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She and Greg used to ride motorcycles with Terry and Lori Sparks and they enjoyed many family vacations together throughout the years. Carolyn also loved attending church at Victory in Truth Ministries; enjoyed her pets and was a big Buckeye fan.

In addition to her loving husband of nearly 32 years, Carolyn is survived by three children, Rachael Spears, Travis Spears both of Bucyrus and Tyler Spears of Columbus; five grandchildren, Blake Sparks, Brooklyn Weisenaur, Emma Ervin, Jaxson Ervin and Carter Spears; two sisters, Connie Sutton of Vermillion and Doris Ann (Pete) Peterson of Bellevue along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17 at Wise Funeral Service where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor J.C. Church officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Victory in Truth Ministries or to the Humane Society serving Crawford County though the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.wisefuneral.com.
