Carl A. Vanbuskirk

Carl A. VanBuskirk, 60, of North Robinson died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Galion Community Hospital after several health issues in recent months.



He was born in Bucyrus on April 19, 1957 to the late Norman D. VanBuskirk and Arvilla E. (Rothhaar) VanBuskirk. He grew up in Chatfield and Bucyrus and attended Bucyrus Schools. Carl worked as a mechanic and in maintenance throughout his life and will be remembered for his big heart, always willing to help people in need. He worked for MF Brown in North Robinson and retired from Ohio Crane where he repaired cranes. He later operated a tire shop from his garage in North Robinson.



Carl is survived by three children, Carl D. VanBuskirk, Michael VanBuskirk, and Jenna (Kaleb) Mills, all of Bucyrus and three grandchildren, Roman, Jace and Kohen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sister, Carolyn Ruth VanBuskirk.



Friends are invited to gather at Carl’s graveside to help lay him to rest on Thursday, January 18 at 1:00 pm in Lust Cemetery, south of Chatfield.



Memorial donations may be made payable to a charity of the donor’s choice and given through Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus. Memories and photos can be shared on Carl’s Tribute Wall.
