Brent D. Green

Brent Green, 61, of Bucyrus, died Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Hospice of Central Ohio in Columbus.

Brent was born June 3, 1963 in Bucyrus to the late Darrel F. Green who preceded him in death in 2016 and Janet E. (Volkmer) Green who survives in Bucyrus. He graduated from Wynford High School and spent several years working at Southland Drive Thru before hiring in at Bucyrus Blades where he was currently employed for the past 25 years. 

Brent lived a simple life and thoroughly enjoyed listening to music, often focusing on the lyrics as to grasp the true meaning of the song. He cherished time spent watching his grandchildren with their sporting events and many Saturday evenings were shared with his brothers at an area restaurant, where they dined and shared many laughs. He walked a lot of laps around the reservoir and also enjoyed riding his bike. When not on the go he kept his brain sharp by working Sudoku puzzles. 

Brent enjoyed worshipping at the Bucyrus Nazarene Church and will always be remembered as a thoughtful and strong hearted man who touched many lives of those he met.

He is survived by his mother, Janet; sons, Brandon (Chelsea) Green and Nigel (Katie) Green; grandchildren, Jake, Ella, Gavin, Valerie and Tristan; brothers, Trent and Kent Green and a sister, Tracy Green. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrel and daughter, Shonda who died during infancy.

His family will celebrate his life privately and for those wishing do something in his memory, gifts can be made payable to either Wounded Warrior Inc. or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
