Blaine David Dunlap, 21, of Nevada, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017.
He was born May 23, 1996 in Marion and was raised in the Nevada area. Blaine, grew up a typical boy, playing baseball, collecting Match Box monster trucks and loved being outdoors. He took up fishing and golf at a young age and could often be heard covering the neighborhood on his dirt bike or four wheeler. These activities allowed him hours of quality time spent with friends and family. He loved cars, especially his Chevy Cruz and considered himself a Chevy man. This might explain his obsession with Jeff Gordon. His love of cars is what peaked his interest in the Auto Tech program at Pioneer, a course study he completed, graduating from Wynford in 2014.
Blaine had most recently been employed at Crossroads Original Designs and will be remembered as a caring and kind soul. He will be missed by many loving family members and friends, including his mom, Beth A. (Tschanen) Christman; dad, Brian D. Dunlap; sister, Erin (Zac) Bauer and their daughter Madelynn Anne Bauer; half-sister, Nichole Dunlap; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Tschanen; paternal grandparents, Don and Sue Dunlap; three aunts, Amy (Rod) Burkhart, Debbi (Eric) Gifford and Brenda (Ed) Thomas as well as numerous cousins and his four-legged companion Nova.
Blaine was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edward Tschanen and all great grandparents, Clifford and Elizabeth Wilson, Maurice and Nora Belle Might, Frank and Lillie Tschanen and Arthur and Louise Dunlap.
Blaine lived a nonjudgmental life style and loved those who had a positive impact on his life. He’d hope to have his memory carried on by always striving to add something positive to those in need.
All are welcome to dress casual when they visit with Blaine’s family who will receive friends from 1 – 2:50 Saturday, September 30 at Wise Funeral Service, where his memorial service will follow beginning at 3:00 pm with Pastor Dennis DeLong officiating. Burial will follow in Nevada cemetery.
Donations can be made payable to either Elevate Addiction Services or to Pioneer (for the Auto Tech program) and these gifts will be accepted through the funeral home.
