Bernice M. Lozier

Bernice M. Lozier, 88, died Wednesday afternoon, January 4, 2017 at Bucyrus Community Hospital.



She was born August 8, 1928 in Prairie Twp., Holmes County, Ohio to the late Stephen and Anna May (Sands) Bender. Bernice attended Millersburg High School and married Jacob J. Lozier on February 28, 1948. They were married 35 years and lived in Coshocton and Loudonville before he preceded her in death in 1983.



Bernice lived in Wooster, retired from Rubbermaid, and eventually settled in Crestline near her son. She was a member of Crestline United Methodist Church.



Bernice is survived by three children, Rodger (Judy) Lozier of Crestline, Becky (Luis) Valentin of Pelzer, South Carolina, and Ronald (Deanna) Lozier of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and her sister, Mabel Myers of Shreve, Ohio.



In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Linda Chase-McCracken; brothers, Samuel, Wilson, Harold, Lawrence, and Clarence Bender; and sister, Margaret Adams.



Bernice will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Union Cemetery, Perrysville, on a later date. At her request, no public services will be held but you can remember her with a donation to the Maplecrest Assisted Living or Crestline UMC, c/o Wise Funeral Service, 129 W.
