Anita L. (Boggs) Cooper, 60, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital after struggling with lung cancer for three years.
She was born December 29, 1961 in Maysville, Kentucky to the late Harry W. Boggs and Barbara J. (Gardner) Boggs. The Boggs moved to Bucyrus where Anita graduated from BHS in 1980. After graduation, she held various jobs through the years and was a member of Scioto United Methodist Church.
Anita was eccentric, independent, and strong-willed. She loved her family deeply and was a fierce supporter of all their endeavors. Anita was an excellent cook, and an accomplished sewer and crocheter. When her grandchildren came along, she devoted every minute to loving and spoiling them!
Anita is survived by her mother, Barbara and stepfather, Clifford Risner; children, Miranda (Michael) Kepler and Joseph (Jessica) Cooper; grandchildren, Madison Kepler, Marabel Kepler, and Quinn Cooper; sister, Sandy Boggs and her family, husband John Elion and daughter, Adrienne; and brother, Kevin Boggs and his family, wife Shelly and children, Harper and Karter. Anita was preceded in death by her father and an infant son, Michael Martin.
To honor Anita, the family is planning on a celebration of life at a later date. Those who wish to remember her with a memorial gift are encouraged to make them payable to Turning Point or Goodwill Industries and give through Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus who assisted her family with arrangements.
Memories and photos can be shared on Anita’s Tribute Wall.
